Welcome to Team Hunter's page for St. Michael's 20th Annual CF Walk!  CF stands for Cystic Fibrosis which is a chronic genetic disease without a cure that former student and Mrs. Krause’s oldest son Hunter was diagnosed with at 10 months and is now 20.  He is a very active and abnormal CF patient.  Hunter enjoys working with drones (that’s how the kids recognize him) and works full-time for Fresh Cut Lawn Care.  He does not let CF slow him down, even playing soccer, baseball, track, and softball.  He also golfs, skis, water skis and does other outdoor sports.  Hunter is thriving and growing because of all that the CF Foundation has done to help with research on medications.   He does not let CF run his life.  Over the years, St. Michael’s has raised over $70,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Team Hunter.  St. Michael’s has also watched this money go to research and create new medications and treatments that help Hunter every day with his growth, digestion, and breathing.    Hunter has 1 medication that has taken the place of and reduced his number of daily medications along with helping his pancreas make enough insulin to go off daily injections and he will even be able to have his feeding tube removed that he has had for 14 years.  The CF Foundation has done amazing things for medication research.  Hunter will once again be joining us to walk.  Thank you in advance for helping to make CF stand for CURE FOUND!!!  St. Michael's will walk on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the school.  Feel free to join us out back!
