My Great Strides Story

It is time again for us to ask you to join Team Max in raising money to find a cure for CF. As you know our son Max, was diagnosed with CF shortly after he was born. This is our 20th year walking to cure CF and although we have seen amazing advances, there is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
Raising money to support medical research could not be more important when so much research funding has been cut and we have lost so much government support. Your donations are critical to our journey to find a cure and help everyone who has CF. The research advances that have come from the CF Foundation have helped to create advances in the fights for other genetic disorders and to improve the availability and types of antibiotics available for a wide range of infections.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF. Team Max, with your support, has done an amazing job over the past 20 years and we need your help to keep it going!!
This year we will be walking in Poughkeepsie on Saturday May 17th, the Lower Hudson Valley on Sunday May 18th in Tarrytown, and NYC for a great after work event/party on Wednesday June 4th. Last year's Tarrytown walk was a great family fun event and the NYC event was a wonderful after work party.
Please join us in person, or support our cause through your donations. Thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do to help Team Max and to work with us to cure CF.
