My Great Strides Story

Fundraising for Nashua Great Strides 2026
Amanda Black
Hello everyone!
It’s that time of year when I am asking you to open your hearts and wallets to donate to Cystic Fibrosis - specifically to Reid’s Crew 2026! Each year we walk to support Reid and the many others who suffer from CF.
Please take a moment to read the following update from Dana, Reid’s Mom: With false spring upon us, it is time again for Great Strides! This will be our 18th walk, our 18th t-shirt, and our 18th time asking the wonderful people in our life for help. Reid is still doing great! He kept busy over the winter playing basketball during the week and skiing on the weekends and has transitioned right into lacrosse for the spring. He has almost a year of driving under his belt, took the SATs, and is looking forward to attending prom with his girlfriend on May 8th. Reid is hitting every teenage milestone we could have hoped for and has not been slowed down by cystic fibrosis. Trikafta continues to provide Reid with the good health we could have only dreamt of in those tough early days. But as we remind everyone as often as we can (but mainly in May) - the work is not done. The CF Foundation is still plugging away, trying to find a cure and developing more and more treatments for aging CF bodies. There is also still a whole population for whom modulators like Trikafta do not work.
As always, we are extremely thankful for any support you can give.
XO,
Amanda
