My Great Strides Story
Fundraising for Nashua Great Strides 2026
Elyse Peredna
As many of you know, our son Lucas was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, and he is the reason we walk for a cure.
Luke turned seven this year and is thriving, thanks to his incredible CF Care Team at Boston Children's Hospital and the unwavering support of our family and friends. Luke is in Frist Grade and is loving all things school related especially math, reading, recess and snack time. He keeps up with his two older sisters and loves soccer, basketball, riding his dirt bike, playing outside, swimming, camping, and golfing with "the boys." He’s an active, adventurous seven-year-old, doing everything kids his age do—and then some!
This is possible because of ongoing advancements in CF treatment and the generosity of people like you. Your support funds life-changing research, provides essential medications, and gives hope to families like ours.
This year, we’re participating in our eighth annual Great Strides event to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. While the CF Foundation has already made a profound difference in our lives, there is still no cure—and the lives of those with CF are still cut too short.
Every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure. One day, CF will stand for Cure Found—and with your help, that day will come even sooner.
Thank you for being part of this fight. Let’s conquer CF together!
