My Great Strides Story

Fundraising for Nashua Great Strides 2026
Payson Mooso
Hello from Gatlinburg TN ~ helping my friends in NH. Well, I've settled into life in TN and love my job at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies! Regardless of how much I am enjoying time here, I can't forget about HOME and the people that I care so much about.
You all know I am a Cystic Fibrosis (CF) carrier, just as my brother is too. But that is easy. Our friend Reid has CF, and that, is the hard part. His life has been far from easy, but SCIENCE is making it a little better. And you know who loves science, this girl! And you know who loves to breathe, all of us. I put on more steps than most every day and with almost daily scuba dives, I appreciate the Smoky Mountain air.
Reid is getting older and living life, thankfully. The medication he takes makes it easier, but we can't forget it's not a cure. We can't forget to fight. So once again, I ask for your help.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
Please, help me make a difference...because we all deserve to breathe easy!
Thank you and love you,
Payson
P.S.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
