My Great Strides Story
Emilie Edmond
Fundraising for Nashua Great Strides 2026
Emilie Edmond
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and I have had the honor of knowing someone who has fought it their whole life. I am lucky enough to call that person my brother.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. Which can also lead to extensive hospitalizations and appointments.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. For Joshua, this has made drastic improvements in the past few years. Trikafta has changed his life for the good and he is thriving as a young adult. But not everyone is eligible for trikafta and there is still more research to be done.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis and help CF stand for cure found?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
