Angela Delecaris
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality. My life was first touched by CF during my years of medical training, and especially watching the bravery of a special teenage girl who lost her fight to CF. It changed my career plans and made me a pediatric pulmonologist. It has been my honor and joy to care for babies, children and young people with CF and support their families, knowing however that what we ask of them at times is more than we can realize. It has been hard to say goodbye to so many close relationships this past year as I left my previous center.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life. We walk, work, study new ideas, and raise awareness until CF stands for “cure found!” We leave no one behind!
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward. Thank you for the consideration!
