My CF journey started 47 years ago when I was 3 years old. My diagnosis was grim, my parents were told 14 years old would be a good life, but more than likely it would be 12.
In 2016 I got a life saving lung transplant and this year I turned 50.
Take that CF!!!!
Last year I decided I wanted to walk 1,000 miles and raise $10,000 before the 10th anniversary of my transplant. I started walking and quickly knocked out 62 miles in just a few weeks, then I got 2 foot injuries and had to stop.
When I was able to start walking without pain I did the math and figured out I could still hit my goal by walking 15 miles a week, which I have done since the beginning of May. I am now up to over 365 miles and still going.
Financially, if I can raise just $10 per mile, I will make my goal. If you want to help, awesome. If you are local, and want to have some fun and walk with me, I would love it.
