Most days, people see a happy little girl with a huge personality, endless sass, and the sweetest giggle. They see Ryleigh running around, playing, laughing, and being a normal kid. What they don’t always see is everything happening behind the scenes because of cystic fibrosis.
 

They don’t see the treatments before school, the medications, the coughing fits, the fear that comes with every sickness, or the quiet moments as parents where we wonder what her future will look like. They don’t see how badly you wish you could take it all away from your child and carry it for them instead.
 

Cystic fibrosis is exhausting, scary, and unfair. But Ryleigh faces it every single day with more strength than most adults could imagine. She continues to smile, love big, and live life loudly despite everything CF throws at her.

 

That’s why we walk in Nebraska Great Strides for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We walk for better treatments, for longer lives, and for the hope that one day no parent has to hear the words, “Your child has cystic fibrosis.”
