My Great Strides Story

Hayden Nichols

Hi, my name is Hayden and I am Ralph Underhill's great granddaughter. I am 8 years old and I was born with Cystic Fibrosis. My mom says I have precious lungs and we have to be very careful to take care of them. I have to do breathing treatments and my vest in the morning and at night, and I have to take medicine every time I eat to help my body digest my food. Sometimes I have to miss out on things that other kids get to do because they can make me sick and that would be bad. Some things about me: my favorite color is red, I love cats, and my favorite snack is pretzels. I would be so happy if you could donate to the CF Foundation because they are helping to find a cure for people with Cystic Fibrosis like me! Please and thank you very much!

Love, Hayden

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
