Isla Blackley

Isla was born July 26th, 2023 happy and healthy. During the standard newborn screening, her tests came back with an elevated risk for CF. Six weeks later, a sweat test confirmed Isla does in fact have CF.

Isla does not let her CF define her. She is thriving at daycare and making friends everywhere she goes. She loves swimming, climbing and running around. She loves spending time with her family, but mostly getting to hang out with her cat, "Sass", who is still warming up to her.

We have a wonderful CF team at Boston Children's who have been helping us navigate this journey and together, Isla is going to have the best life we can give her.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people suffer from the disease. We're walking to help change that.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, liver and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections. Every person born with CF is on a unique journey and has their own challenges with the disease. A lot of progress has been made, but there is still a long road.
We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
