Hi, I'm Katie and I am 37 years old. For the majority of my adult life - 37 years old was the average life expectancy for a person with cystic fibrosis. Let that sink in!
I have always been one of the lucky ones, and now with my beautiful family including my two little girls Rose and Maggie, I am both grateful for our community who has always surrounded us with love by supporting the Cystic Fibrosis's efforts to cure Cystic Fibrosis and filled with a strong sense of purpose and responsibility to live for many decades to come.
Your support is how we have the new modulator medications that are transforming the trajectory of the lives of so many, the current life expectancy has risen to 47+ - yet those medications are not available to everyone. While they are a important and huge step - they are also not a cure!
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
During a time where you may be feeling that you have little control, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
