My Stairclimb Planning Quest for Support...

Fundraising for Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge
Lindsay Silva
Guess what?!? I'm at it again. While planning and executing CF fundraising events is my job now, the absolute soul-on-fire drive to stop this disease in it's tracks for EVERYONE living with cystic fibrosis is alive and burning through me every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't hear about, talk about, think about, or take to heart the ongoing struggle of living with CF.
Yes... AMAZING advancements have been made and lives and being lived and dreams are being chased... but babies are still born with CF every single day and the potential loss of life continues to haunt my waking hours.
We need a cure and we need it yesterday. It is a ridiculously frustrating fact that there is research just waiting to be funded and groundbreaking medical advancements right around the corner. And bottom line... the only thing that is going to get us across this finish line is generous donations from people like you.
So, this weekend I will be running an event with athletes and firefighters and first responders and every day people racing to the top of a breathlessly tall building, in a show of stubborn resilience and dedication to help us make a difference. While I won't be running any steps on Sunday, I will be marching my way up and down those stairs on Saturday as I set up the magic and infuse the mission that drives us all to keep fighting until there is a cure for every single person living with cystic fibrosis.
Will you help? Anything really... anything at all.
$40 for 40 flights of stairs?
$15 for the 15 years this event has been taking place?
Iterations of 3 ($3, $30, $300)... cause it's my 3-year work anniversary?
Please? Lives are quite literally depending on us...
