CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Many of you have been with me on my journey living with cystic fibrosis and surviving my transplant. It's crazy to think that I am turning 39 this year! I am so grateful and fortunate to be alive. While I am currently in chronic lung rejection after my life saving transplant 7 years ago, I am still extremely lucky and working hard at maintaining my lung function... So this year
I wanted to celebrate with my team in a great strides walk a thon.

When I was young my family participated in many walks and I was active in research trials to  help towards finding a cure.
While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease.
We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Please join me in walking for a cure!
