My Great Strides Story

Fundraising for Paramus Great Strides

Hello! For over 25 years, we have been supporting the works of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through their Great Strides walk to help find a cure for those with CF, especially my nephew, Ethan.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis; I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Thanks to the work of the CF Foundation who are empowered through your donations, Ethan (and many others with CF) has seen his health improve and continue to make progress! During his teenage years, Ethan required multiple hospitalizations and intravenous medication therapies to keep him healthy. With the introduction of new medications over the last 10 years, Ethan's quality of life has improved. The progress made has resulted in less hospital visits, clearer breathing, healthier living, and the ability for Ethan to experience a more "normal" lifestyle.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
