My Breathe Team Story
Jolly Johnson
Fundraising for 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race
Jolly Johnson
For as long as I can remember, my dad was a runner and annually ran in the Peachtree Road Race. Sadly, this February my dad lost his battle with dementia and we said goodbye.
In dad's memory, I am going to participate in the Peachtree Road Race for the first time thanks to the CF Foundation. The research and progress made by the CF Foundation will have an incredible impact on so many other diseases, including dementia and Alzheimer's.
Not only am I committing to running (well, run/walking) the race, I am also committing to raising $1,000 by July 4. Please help me reach this fundraising goal in my dad's memory! Thank you all so much!

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m running to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
