My Great Strides Story

Today is the day our dear Amanda lost her battle with CF, May 7, 2021. We never want to forget her. Thank you to all who have donated so far to help others living with this disease. I humbly ask your consideration to help us reach our goal, please. We are near our goal which we have met every year and continue to work toward the goal of eliminating CF. We are just a short time from the walk and WE NEED YOU TO HELP US, PLEASE.
Many of you know me and know why I participate yearly. There are many young people who need the hope that we can give them by assisting in raising awareness to the disease and helping them to live a "normal" life like the rest of us.
My son-in-law is a great example that has given him many more years to live than when he was born and diagnosed. Each year not only infants but adults are being diagnosed and then have to adjust their lives to the necessary changes. We are so very close to reaching the goal of CF standing for Cure Found! but we need your help. Every $ donated adds up to many $$$ in research and help for these loved ones.
Please give what you can and share the message with others. Many hands make light the work. We cannot do this alone. I thank you in advance for your consideration of a donation and with a grateful heart say "Thank you".
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
