My cousins Melissa and Amanda battled Cystic Fibrosis all their lives. We lost Melissa in 2012 at the young age of 36 and we lost Amanda in 2019 at the young age of 39. They were 2 of the strongest women anyone could have had the honor of meeting. We continue to fight for them in raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to find a cure to this terrible disease.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system. Cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat, and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky. They then plug up tubes, ducts, and passageways.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Please consider making a donation today, to the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Foundation, to help find a cure for the disease. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress.
