Fundraising for Point Pleasant Beach Great Strides 2026

Hello family & friends,
This will be our 2nd year walking in Point Pleasant, NJ. It's a beautiful walk at the Jersey Shore. Please join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in helping find a cure for CF.
As you know, Joe was diagnosed with CF at birth. He struggled with many difficulties but was always a fighter. In 2015, Joe received a double lung transplant. He is doing well but will always have struggles with his health. Last year, our great nephew, Jack, was diagnosed with CF soon after he was born. He just recently turned one and is doing well. Recent genetic medications are keeping babies, children, and adults fairly healthy. Thanks to donations and support of family and friends, scientists have been able to create genetic medications to make this possible.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
