My Putnam Great Strides Story

Fundraising for Putnam Great Strides
Betsy Mintz
This year for my birthday, I would like to ask for donations to my team, Tang & Donuts, for the Putnam Great Strides CF Walk. I have pledged to walk even more this year - 350 miles or 1 mile per $1 donation! I have already started by donating $20 to myself. If you would rather do the walk with me (can be done from anywhere - not only in CT!!!) and help raise funds and awareness, please join my team! I'd love to have as many people as I can help out.
This is cause is very close to my heart. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. My uncle, Kevin, is one of them. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need to find a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us to end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to help advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
