Joan is one of approximately 40,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis who struggle every day just to breathe. She administers multiple breathing treatments, takes numerous medications and manages diabetes every day just to maintain her ability to breathe and live.
Because of events like this ride that raise money to fund research, we celebrated a tremendous breakthrough for people with cystic fibrosis that benefits about 90% of people with CF and allows them to breathe easier.  This new drug has had a remarkable impact on the quality of life for those lucky enough to be on it, and we continue to fund research to develop a permanent cure for everyone with CF – until CF stands for ‘Cure Found’!
We hope this year can be our biggest team and fundraising effort yet to continue to fund research to find disease-altering therapies for ALL people with CF.
