My CF Cycle for Life Story
Fundraising for Rhode Island CF Cycle for Life 2026
Roberta Gregoire
Hello, Friends and Family,
Cystic fibrosis has been part of my family’s life for nearly 30 years. My daughter, Lauren, was diagnosed as a baby, so Cycle for Life is much more than a bike ride to me.
CF is a genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Treatment progress over the past few decades has been remarkable. People with CF are living longer, and new therapies have changed daily life for many.
But progress is not the same as a cure.
People with CF have different mutations, different responses to treatment, and very different experiences with the disease. For too many, CF still means frequent treatments, hospital stays, serious infections, and declining lung function.
That’s why I continue to ride and raise money for Cycle for Life.
The goal isn’t simply better treatment. It’s a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis.
If you’d like to support my ride, your donation will help fund the research and science needed to keep moving toward that goal.
Thank you for being part of it.
Sincerely,
Roberta
