My Great Strides Story
Fundraising for Rochester, MN Great Strides 2026
Taige Puetz
Slater was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth through Minnesota’s newborn screening program. Like many CF families, our journey has had its ups and downs, but thankfully, we’ve been blessed with far more ups than downs.
Because of an incredible care team at Mayo Clinic, advances in modern medicine, and the dedication of families and researchers who came before us, Slater is thriving. He is now 3 years old and is an absolute joy to be around, full of energy, movement, curiosity, and love.
The treatments and medications available today have made a life-changing difference for Slater. Without them, his story would look very different. We are deeply grateful to the CF community whose sacrifices and advocacy helped make these advances possible.
We fundraise with gratitude for how far cystic fibrosis care has come, and with hope as we continue pushing forward, for Slater, and for all those who will be diagnosed in the future.
Thank you for being part of that progress. 💙
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
