Greetings Family and Friends!
Can you name an organization that has given people time back in their day, weeks back in their year, and years in their life?! The CF Foundation has done just that!
In less than 5 years: treatments a day has decreased from 2-3 hours to 0-45 mins, 2 week hospital stays have decreased 12% for kids and 25% for adults, lung transplants have decreased from 259 to 53, the median age of survival has jumped from 45 to 61, and the number of people with CF has jumped from 30K to 40K! Again, in less than 5 years - all due to the CF Foundations unrelenting research and bringing to bear a game changing medication in the fall of 2019 that has changed the face of CF!
And, what are people with CF doing with their time?! Having babies!!! Pregnancies are up from about 200 to 675!
So why donate?!
(1) these meds don’t work for everyone and
(2) we want a CURE!

I know some of you appreciate an update on how Nate's doing. Simply put - GREAT! His lung function has come back up! For the last 5 years of decline - we are over the moon to report that his lung function steadily climbed this last year and is almost back to his norm! He's worked really hard doing daily 45 min treatments, working out, working with a nutritionist (and I've remediated mold that may have contributed)...along with all the normal teens things - spending time with his girlfriend(!), rocking the tennis court, conquering video games and finding his own sense of style!
Thank you for the bottom of this mama's heart for considering supporting the CFF! You know I hate asking for anything - let alone your hard earned cash - but for my baby, I'll do anything.
