We cannot believe this is our 10th year walking Great Strides!! Our Great Strides journey began in 2016 (as Allison's Army) when Allison was just 9 months old. She was born in 2015, 6 weeks early, a mere 4.9 pounds and was handed a diagnosis that scared the daylights out of us. A few months after Allisons birth, we discovered Great Strides and knew we were where we were supposed to be.
2 years later, we welcomed Levi who was also handed the diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis and team CF FYTRZ was born. Because that is what Allison and Levi are...CF FIGHTERS!!
Allison and Levi each take handfuls of pills each day, do daily breathing and airway clearance treatments and get poked and prodded more than other kids their age. Despite the daily rituals of all that CF is, they are happy kids who have optimistic outlooks on life.
While the CF Foundation has made incredible progress, not everyone with CF can benefit from existing therapies and we still need a cure. This will require time, funding, and persistence – but with you on our team – we are ready to go the distance.
Our team is committed to providing every person with CF the opportunity to live a long, healthy life. Will you join us?
