Since as young as I can remember, my Uncle Donny has been my person. The person I am is influenced by things he's taught me, sacrifices he's made for me and spending (what I thought was) an endless amount of time with me.

He was forever there for me... until he wasn't able to be anymore.

On May 1st, 2020, I flew back to Massachusetts from California, where I would be spending the last week taking care of one of the most important people in my life. Hour after hour, for days on end, I would be administering hospice care until on May 7th, I watched my uncle take his last breath.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. I got to watch my uncle reach 50 years of age, but too many people with CF die too young. I’m walking in hopes to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
