Our 7 year old daughter Posey has Cystic Fibrosis. 

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. 

We found out about Posey’s CF when she was 2 days old and have been doing daily treatments and medications since. After starting school Posey experienced the toughest stretch with her CF which included a 14 day hospitalization over her 6th birthday. Posey is a remarkable girl who brings out the best in everyone she meets. This is our first Great Strides Event  and we are very excited to walk for Posey. 

We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
