This will be my 3rd Xtreme Hike for an amazing organization that is set out to hopefully find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. My amazing nephew Edward Bing has been the inspiration for our team. His Mom and Dad who are the greatest supporters of Edward have both themselves done the Xtreme hike. It is an experience like no other. I have met the most amazing individuals over the years. Loved ones of those with CF, those who still hike and have lost someone with CF, and those who have CF and are fighting to find a cure!!! I will join the fight in the best way I know how which is through the hike and raising the funds needed to continue advancing treatments and hopefully one day a cure. Please join us in support. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m hiking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
