This year's Xtreme Hike for the Cure marks an extraordinary milestone—my 18th journey, but with a profound difference. I'll be sharing this 31-mile challenge with my daughter on her first Xtreme Hike, making it an even more meaningful adventure in our enduring fight against Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
 
Your unwavering support over the years has enabled me to contribute over $135,000 to the Charlotte Xtreme Hike cause. Our community's collective efforts have funded revolutionary treatments that have transformed CF from a childhood disease to one where adults are thriving, pursuing careers, and starting families.
 
My nephew Owen, who continues to inspire every step, is now pursuing his dreams at the University of Cincinnati. While breakthrough treatments like Trikafta have changed lives dramatically, approximately 10% of the CF community still awaits their miracle drug. We hike for them, pushing forward until every person with CF has a treatment that works for them.
 
This year's hike holds special significance as I share this challenge with my daughter. Together, we'll traverse 31 grueling miles, each step representing our commitment to the CF community. We've set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000—a target we can only reach with your support. Whether it's $10, $25, $100, or any amount meaningful to you, your contribution brings us closer to our ultimate goal: transforming CF to mean "Cure Found."
