Why I’m Hiking For A Cure
Fundraising for North Carolina Spring Xtreme Hike

Sometimes, the right people cross your path at just the right time. This weekend, my family and I set out to hike Crowder’s Mountain, just expecting a day on the trails. But along the way, I met a group training for something much bigger—a 30-mile hike to raise money for cystic fibrosis research.
One conversation stood out. I started talking with a guy named Bou, who’s hiking for his 11-year-old son, Riley, who has cystic fibrosis. As we talked, he shared that the hardest part wasn’t the training—it was raising the $3,000 needed to participate. That hit home. I know firsthand how generous the F3 community is, and I knew we could do something about it.
That’s why I’m stepping up. I’m not just donating—I’m joining the hike. And I’m calling on the F3 Men of the Carolinas and beyond to help. Whether by joining the team or chipping in a few bucks, let’s rally together and help Bou, Riley, and every family fighting this battle.
Every step we take gets us closer to a cure. Let’s make it count.
