Grant Lampert
Mason is almost 16 years old, he is smart, funny and kind. He loves music, video games, YouTube, the WWE, roller coasters, talking about cars, and his friend group. He absolutely loves his dog Biscuit and he’s found a new passion for travel! He plays percussion in the Marching Band, he’s a member of the Ultimate Frisbee and High School Bowling teams. And like many teens his age he is about to get a driver's license! All this while he fights Cystic Fibrosis daily. While he may have days off from Frisbee, Band and Bowling-there are NO days off from CF. Respiratory treatments, regular clinic visits for physical and mental health, lab draws, medications, more medications, and lots of days home with respiratory and digestive illnesses are additional parts of his daily life. While treatments have improved immensely just over his lifetime, treatments have side effects and they are not a cure. The Lampert family stop fighting until CF stands for Cure Found.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power change history by helping to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
Until it's done,
Grant (Mason's Dad)
