CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
George Hickey was a good friend of mine who died way too early due to Cystic Fibrosis. George knew his time on Earth was limited but he never let it get to him. He lived his life to the fullest in the limited time he had. George loved cars, parties and just hanging out with his friends. We like the annual Great Strides event because it helps us remember George and what a great guy he was.
