As you may remember from last year, my friend Melissa Shiffman lives with cystic fibrosis. This is a condition with no cure, and it's my honor to join Melissa's husband and other friends to ride around New York City to raise funds to change that.

Melissa and I have worked together to advance democracy locally and across the country: at a time when the government has decided to politicize science, I hope you'll help me enhance opportunity and hope for the thousands of people living with this affliction.
