Tokyo Marathon 2027

Ready to go the distance and join us for our annual run to cure cystic fibrosis? By participating, you have the power to change thousands of lives. Your support helps the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation fund the research and care needed to help advance a cure for this disease. While we've made significant progress, we still have a long way to go. We still lose precious lives to CF every day. You can help us accelerate progress. Now is the time to act.
To have the best experience possible, we ask that every runner takes the time to prepare physically and that you are willing to commit to raising the fundraising minimum, or more, for the cause. Every dollar raised supports our mission to provide adults and children with CF in the U.S. a better chance at living a long, healthy life.
The fundraising minimum for the 2027 Tokyo Marathon is $7,500 per runner. All runners are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
To secure your spot on the team, selected runners will be asked to complete a few important steps:
Show your interest in a charity bib here: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation | realbuzz
Once invited, you’ll receive a link from CFF staff to set up your personalized fundraising page (please do not create a page in advance). At that time, you’ll also make a $100, fully tax-deductible donation to reserve your bib—this amount will count toward your overall fundraising commitment.
You’ll also need to complete your official race registration through the provided Realbuzz link. There is no cost associated with this race registration.
Please note that race entries are final—bibs are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be deferred to a future year.
Benefits include:
- Guaranteed race entry with no registration fee
- Personalized fundraising webpage
- Breathe Team jersey to wear as you run
- Staff liaison to support you in fundraising
- The opportunity to earn additional incentives and a community that's with you every step of the way as you run to cure CF!
We have limited bibs for this race. To apply for a bib and be added to our waitlist, please email Danielle Driggers at ddriggers@cff.org.

Thank you for your efforts to raise awareness and funds so that we can get one step closer to curing cystic fibrosis. Your participation is critical to advance our mission, and now is the time to act. Sign up today to take steps towards a cure for cystic fibrosis!

Events may be subject to change based on health or safety concerns. If an event is moved to virtual, sponsorship benefits may be adjusted to fit that format. If an event is cancelled, your local contact will reach out to discuss options.

Accommodations

At the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, we are committed to advancing health experiences and outcomes so that every person with CF has the opportunity to lead a long, fulfilling life. We strive to host inclusive and accessible events where everyone can fully participate. Because some accommodations take time to arrange, please submit any requests at least three weeks in advance.
