My Great Strides Story

Fundraising for Tri-Cities Great Strides
Daniel Vache
Dear Friends, again, this year Team Super G is deemed a NATIONAL TEAM. The Team will be participating in five Great Strides Events – Gig Harbor (May3), Denver (May 10), Seattle (May 18) and Tri-Cities (May 31) and Spokane (June 7). Our team leader Caitlin Carter (Greyson’s Mom) has set the overall Team Super G fund raising goal at $30,000.
You are invited to attend one of the Great Strides events as a member of Team Super G, in support of Greyson, our 8-year-old grandson, and all individuals fighting cystic fibrosis. He has thrived after being diagnosed 2 weeks old and is now in the third grade and doing quite well with daily chest therapy regime and taking 30-40 daily prescription drugs. Greyson has been receiving life-saving CF care since birth and through the work of the CF Foundation is now taking TRIKAFTA! This medicine has increased the life span of many CF Fighters who now are living much longer – many in their 50’s and 60’s, getting married, having children and having to save for retirement, a life event which they had never thought they would have to think about.
Our family is dedicated to give back to the CF Foundation and fund more research than ever before so people like Greyson can live long, healthy lives and ultimately find a cure!
Greyson loves drawing, art in any form, baseball, building very cool Lego creations, Teeney Ping, all things Disney - learning about their amusement parks along being the best friend to his little sister Olvia and big brother to all.
A little more about CF if you have never heard of it:
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to thrive and live a long, healthy life.
Will you please help us find a cure for cystic fibrosis?
By donating to our fund raising goal, in any amount, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – to make CF stand for Cure Found.
Thank you and we hope you join us for Great Strides Tri-Cities at Howard Amon Park, 500 Amon Park Dr, Richland, WA 99352
Best regards to all,
Dan and Carolyn
