Dear Friends and Family,
As this year comes to a close, we find ourselves deeply grateful — for health, for hope, and for the community that continues to walk beside us on this long climb toward a cure for cystic fibrosis.
It’s been twenty-five years since Wells’ diagnosis, and what an incredible journey it has been. The advances we’ve witnessed in that time are nothing short of remarkable. Today, Wells is thriving — continuing his career at Fidelity Investments while pursuing his CFA certification(Chartered Financial Analyst). His health has remained steady, and for that, we are profoundly thankful.
This past year brought another milestone for the CF community with the approval of Alyftrek, a new modulator therapy that can be taken once a day and is giving even more people with cystic fibrosis the chance to breathe easier and live fuller lives. The CF Foundation continues to lead the way — investing in groundbreaking research and accelerating work on genetic therapies that aim to cure CF for every single person.
For our family, this mission remains deeply personal. While Wells is doing incredibly well, he still lives with CF every single day. He still manages a rigorous routine of medications, therapies, and exercise. And there are still 10% of individuals with CF who cannot benefit from current modulators. Until every person has access to life-changing treatment — and until we reach the summit of a cure — our fight continues.
We often say that this community is climbing a mountain together. For some, the path has become smoother; for others, the climb remains steep. But we cannot turn back now. We must keep going — together — until we reach the top.
As we enter this season of giving, we hope you’ll consider joining us once again in supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and our yearly Warriors for Wells Great Strides Campaign. Your generosity fuels every breakthrough, every new therapy, and every ounce of hope for families like ours.
Your support truly makes a difference. You can make your tax-deductible, year-end gift to the CF Foundation in honor of Wells. No gift is too small. Every dollar moves us closer to the day when we can say that cystic fibrosis is no longer a life-shortening disease — but a story of hope fulfilled.
From our family to yours, thank you for standing with us, for believing with us, and for helping us keep progressing towards a cure.
With gratitude and hope,
Kelli, Perry, Stuart, Chase, and Wells Clark
