We are participating again in the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk on Saturday, May 17 to support our nephew, Dylan Smith and others suffering from this disease. As most of you know, Dylan was diagnosed at 6 months old with cystic fibrosis. We have been participating in the Great Strides Walk since 2006 to raise money to fund a cure for CF. No cure is found yet but tremendous progress has been made for people with CF. Dylan's lifelong dream was to be a firefighter. We are so proud and happy to share that he graduated from the Fire Academy in September 2024 and is employed by the Cary Fire Department.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward - a cure for everyone with CF.
Thank you for your donation to help
CF stand for "Cure Found."
