Our Great Strides Story

Sydney Scott

Hey y’all, we’re Savannah and Sydney — cousins, best friends, and partners in crime (the legal kind, of course)!

I (Savannah) was born with cystic fibrosis (CF), which basically means my lungs and digestive system like to keep things interesting. Breathing has never been easy, hospital rooms became a second home, and let’s just say my medicine cabinet has always been better stocked than a pharmacy. But through it all, there was one person I could always count on — Sydney. Whether it was sneaking me my favorite snacks in the hospital, checking in on me when things got tough, or being the first to donate to any fundraiser I started, she has always been in my corner!

In 2019, something incredible happened — I started Trikafta. For the first time in my life, I could take a deep breath without feeling like I had run a marathon. It was a second chance, a miracle made possible by years of research funded by donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). But here’s the thing: there are still so many people with CF waiting for their breakthrough, and that’s why we’re here. Sydney and I are walking in Great Strides to help fund the research that will get us to a cure. So if you’ve ever wanted to be a hero, here’s your chance. Donate, walk with us, or even just share our story. Together, we can make sure CF stands for Cure Found!

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
