We walk for Emery Augustus, the bravest, sweetest, feistiest little boy around!
Emery was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis after undergoing abdominal surgery for a meconium ileus at just five days old. He spent over two weeks in the NICU. Now, at 10 months old, he has overcome more in his life than many adults have. He has been blessed with good health, but even without complications, CF affects his life every day. Daily medications, airway clearance treatments, and frequent doctor's visits are the norm for Emery, and he handles it all like a champ!
Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs, digestive system, and other vital organs. It can lead to devastating complications. While miraculous medications and treatments have been developed in recent years, there is still no cure for CF.
We walk to support the CFF's mission, and we will not stop until a cure is found.
