Emily turns 25 in June and will be graduating from Utah
State University this spring with a bachelor’s degree in
biology. Her health is doing well, thanks to the
medications available to her as treatment for her Cystic
Fibrosis (CF). One of the game changing medications,
Trikafta, was developed in large part through the efforts
and funding of the CF Foundation, due to people like you
contributing to the ongoing efforts to find a cure.
Lori and I recently returned from a Volunteer Leadership
Conference with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Not only
were we reminded of the phenomenal progress made in
finding a cure for CF, but also of the unfinished work that
remains. This includes developing treatments for those
who are not eligible for (or cannot tolerate the side effects
of) the remarkable CF modulator drugs, including Trikafta,
that have proved to be such a game changer for the CF
community at large. The work is ongoing to develop
genetic therapies to once and for all be a total cure for
cystic fibrosis. We would like to invite you to consider
participating in, or donating to, the annual Great Strides
walk to raise funds to continue the work focused on
finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The link below includes
the details of the Northern Utah walk as well as the
specifics of donating. Thanks for all you have done over
the years to advance the efforts to find a cure for Cystic
Fibrosis!
