Hi friends! It’s that time of year again – Team Erin is gearing up to ride in the Virginia Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life event on October 18th, which also happens to be my birthday! 🎉 This year my biggest wish is to raise $2,400 to support the research that is transforming what it means to have CF.

I always like to share a little health update so you all can see how your support over the years has directly impacted my CF journey. I’m so grateful to say my lung function is holding steady at 103% and has stayed above 100% for the past SIX years! It has also been over SEVEN years since my last hospital stay, which is truly astounding. Because of this stability, I’ve been able to embrace so many joys in life – working toward my graduate degree, planning my wedding, and dreaming about a future that once was uncertain. These are milestones I never thought I’d reach, and I feel so grateful for every piece of support from every one of you. It’s truly what has helped make moments like these possible.

Even with all this progress, there’s still more work ahead. I recently started Alyftrek, a new therapy that gives me, and so many others, even more hope for the future. Each new breakthrough brings us closer to a world where CF is no longer a barrier and each person can live a life without limitations.

This year I would absolutely love to ride alongside friends and family – whether on a bike, cheering from the sidelines, or by sharing this post to spread the word. Thank you for helping me and the entire CF community keep moving forward.
