I hope this message finds you well! I’m reaching out to invite you to join Aja’s Amigos in our fight for a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). As many of you know, Colt and Willow, are living with CF. For years, we have participated in the Great Strides walk for CF with friends and family. However, this spring, both kids made incredible strides in their lacrosse teams. Willow tried something new as a goalie for her varsity lacrosse team, which ended in a nail-biting sudden-death overtime playoff game. Colt’s team is heading to the Final Four in Dallas on the same day as Great Strides! We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements, and we’re hoping Colt and his teammates will be a strong wall on defense!
 

While we won’t be walking at Great Strides this year, our commitment to finding a cure for CF remains strong. That’s why we’re asking for your support for the Aja’s Amigos team. Your donations will help fund vital research for new treatments and medicines that can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by CF.
 

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and pancreas, making it challenging for Colt and Willow to stay healthy. They work hard every day with breathing treatments and medications to maintain their health. Over the past year, they transitioned to a new CF modulator, Alyftrek, which is taken once a day. We are hopeful this will help maintain their lung function, fight infections, and delay the onset of CF-related diabetes. Despite all their medications, we still face challenges with infections common for people with CF, and the doctors are monitoring them for CF-related diabetes. Thanks to the amazing research funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, they’ve been able to thrive and compete in high school! But there’s still so much more to be done, and we need your help.
