This weekend, I'll be participating in the Stair Climb with the Arizona Chapter, climbing 2000 stairs to raise awareness and money to fund research for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic lung disease that impacts approximately 40,000 Americans.
As some of you may know, on New Years Eve 2014, my aunt went into respiratory failure and was placed on a ventilator for 6 months while she fought to survive. Against all odds, she received a double lung transplant in June 2015 and a second chance at life. I am climbing for her, for others living with CF and to support the CFF in their research for a cure.
While real progress has been made for those who have CF, there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. Help us make CF stand for Cure Found!
