Shelby is 10 years old and our CF Warrior! She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis via her newborn screening and has fought this disease like a Hero! She doesn't let her diagnosis keep her down though! She loves being a 4th grader and her favorite subject is Math (Social Studies close 2nd).
Currently Shelby takes 32 Pills daily along with inhaled nebulized medication and chest therapy twice daily. These medications and her chest therapy help keep Shelby's lungs, pancreas, and other organs clear of mucus build up from CF. With fundraising events and donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundations over the years, many medical advancements have been made to help those with Cystic Fibrosis live longer and healthier lives. While the CF Foundation has made incredible progress, not everyone with CF can benefit from existing therapies and we still need a cure.
