My Breathe Team Story
Kendra Petruny
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
While working with the lung transplant team at Vanderbilt Medical Center, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact that cystic fibrosis research has had on patients’ lives—especially with the development of life-changing medications like Trikafta. It’s truly amazing to see how these advancements have helped so many people with CF live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
However, the work isn’t done yet. Ongoing research is vital to continue making progress and, ultimately, to find a cure for this devastating disease. I’ve joined the Breathe Team because I believe that together, we can make this cure a reality within our lifetime.
I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and coworkers to ask for your support in this journey. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference and brings us closer to a world where cystic fibrosis no longer limits lives. Thank you for helping me make a meaningful impact in the fight against CF!
