My Breathe Team Story
Fundraising for BMW Berlin Marathon
Lauren Boone-Johnson
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and far too many people with CF die young.
It's a genetic, life shortening disease that attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes it difficult to breathe, fight off infections, and live the kind of full life that everyone deserves.
Every person with CF faces a unique battle. While treatments have improved, the journey is still incredibly hard-and for many, there's still no clear path forward. We need a cure. And that's why I'm running.
I already had a spot in the Berlin Marathon, but I chose to make this race about more than just the miles. I've partnered with this incredible organization to help raise awareness and critical funds to support their mission to end cystic fibrosis.
Marathon training is tough. It takes early mornings, long runs, sore muscles, and total commitment. But that challenge is nothing compared to what people with CF face every single day. I'm dedicating each mile of this race to them-and to the dream of a future without cystic fibrosis.
When you donate, you're not just supporting my run you're fueling the research, the breakthroughs, and the hope that will lead to a cure.
