I’m back for marathon #3 with Team CF and this time, we’re heading to Berlin! I’m running as part of Team CF and fundraising $4,000 to support the life-changing research made possible through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
 

My cousin, Vincent, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just two weeks old. Before his diagnosis, my knowledge of CF was pretty limited (basically what I had seen in Five Feet Apart). Over the last six years, I’ve learned so much more about what CF does to the body, how it impacts daily life, and how much organization, commitment, and strength it takes to live with it.
 

I’ve watched my aunt and uncle show unwavering dedication to Vincent and the CF community through their involvement with the Chicago Chapter, their own research efforts, countless medical appointments, and traveling to conferences. I’ve also seen Vincent show up every day, balancing medications, therapies, and doctor visits while still being a kid. He plays flag football, basketball, and soccer, and if you ask him to race you, be prepared to race for hours. Vincent is strong, intelligent, funny, creative, and living life with CF.
 

I’m running for him, and for a future where CF stands for Cure Found. Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting the fight!!!!
