Jesse Mazen
Hi! My name is Jesse. I’m 29 years old, living with and defying cystic fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an everyday battle. It is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF can make it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Some days are easier than others, but I feel incredibly fortunate that I am able to run, stay active, and pursue the things I love. Unfortunately, that is not the reality for everyone living with CF. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis, and too many people with CF still lose their lives far too young. I’m running to help change that reality.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While tremendous progress has been made, there is still a long road ahead for far too many people living with CF. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to support the research and science needed to move us closer to our shared dream of a cure. Together, we can help make CF stand for Cure Found. 💜
