My Great Strides Story

Losing my two best friends, Scott and Jen, to cystic fibrosis was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. CF is a cruel, relentless disease that takes away the people you love, no matter how strong they are or how hard they fight. Watching them both struggle, and ultimately lose their battles, was devastating in a way I can’t fully explain.

The pain of losing them still lingers, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. No one should have to experience what it’s like to lose someone to CF. It changes you, leaves a permanent mark, and makes you realize just how fragile life is.

But in their memory, I fight for a world where no one has to lose someone they love to this disease. Because no one should ever have to face that kind of heartbreak.
This is why I continue to STRIDE.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that damages the lungs, pancreas, and other organs, making it hard to breathe and fight infections. Though progress has been made, many still face the challenges of this disease. We need a cure for everyone with CF.

By donating to my fundraising goal, you can help advance the research needed to find that cure and give those with CF a chance at a longer, healthier life.
