My Breathe Team Story

Feeling helpless, as we caregivers often do, I decided to get a little uncomfortable and accept the challenge of  marathon #3.

I’ll run this race with perseverance just like my little Ty Man and every other CF warrior does, fighting battles far tougher than my own.

This June, I’ll be running the Grandmas Marathon with the Breathe Team, raising funds and awareness so that one day soon, CF will stand for Cure Found.

Right now, there is no cure for cystic fibrosis, and too many lives are cut short by this devastating disease. CF is a genetic, life-shortening illness that attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs, making it incredibly difficult to breathe and fight off life-threatening infections. The damage it causes can lead to respiratory failure and heartbreakingly short futures.

Every person with CF is on a different journey, but they all share one need: a cure. While progress has been made, too many are still waiting, still fighting, still hoping.

I’m running to help change that reality.

Will you join me in the fight to end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
